Digital strategy implementation: The role of individual entrepreneurial orientation and relational capital

In transformational strategy contexts such as digitalization, the entrepreneurial behavior of firm's employees is crucial. This study examines role employees’ individual-level orientation (IEO) in terms proactiveness, risk-taking, and innovativeness, their relational capital within organization, on performance achieving organizations’ digital goals. We hypothesize that all IEO dimensions are positively associated with moderates effect proactiveness risk-taking but negatively innovativeness. The results an intra-organizational survey 166 at a medium-sized Northern European manufacturing firm provide partial support for our hypotheses. As part empirical design, we introduce four-dimensional scale organizational individual (Digital – Management, Infrastructure, Networking, development MIND). With this scale, contrast informants’ self-assessment against assessment overall performance. Our one first to investigate context provides implications harnessing employees' innovative potential transformation.
